BTIP Pavement Rehab and Landscape Project
Traffic Update
Butterfield Trail Industrial Park tenants can expect the traffic controls for the Phase 1 of the Pavement Rehab/Landscape Improvement Project to be in place starting Monday, October 15, 2012. Thank you for your patience.
The City of El Paso, Traffic Engineer, in accordance with City Code 12.08.070, hereby establishes construction speed limits on the following roadways:
Walter Jones Boulevard from Leigh Fisher Boulevard to a point 1,700 ft to the east of Spur Drive. 30 MPH
Founders Boulevard from Airport Road to Leigh Fisher Boulevard. 30 MPH
This construction speed limit will be in effect for phases 1 through 8 of Butterfield Trail Street Improvement project. Construction speed limit signs must be posted during the designated phases.
Project Scope
In an effort to revitalize the Butterfield Trail Industrial Park and generate economic development, El Paso International Airport has undertaken this effort to improve the streets pavement and beautify the streetscape along the industrial park. The reconstruction of the roadways includes additions of roundabouts and various traffic improvements. The beautification of the streetscape includes expanding and enhancing the landscaping in the area as well as adding pedestrian amenities such as walking trails and ADA ramps.
